Linked table of contents

One of the major differences between developed and developing countries is their education system. An educational system is made up of many components that allow the general public to be educated. This system includes schools, colleges, libraries, teachers, and their curriculum and pedagogy. Various government bodies lay rules and regulate the education system.

Education System in India

India has had years of knowledge in its heritage and is considered to have some of the best researchers come out of the country. There have been significant inventions made by scientists belonging to India. This is why India's education system is considered one of the oldest globally.

Issues with the Education System of India

The existing educational system in our nation is not up to the mark. There is a lack of reforms and infrastructure in the existing education system. It is considered outdated when compared to that of developed countries. The subjects and exams are usually theoretical, even for practical subjects like arts. This will not stimulate creativity. It is easier to pass the exams if we cram in the last two days before. This shows how our education system is poorly built.

How to Improve the Education System in India?

To improve the state of the current educational system, the teachers must take a positive approach to education that makes the students motivated. The government has introduced many policies to overcome the disadvantages of the system. While it is a great beginning, there is still a long way to go for the education system in India. Every child in the country should be given access to education for a better standard of living and the country's overall development.

In conclusion, I would like to reiterate that a balanced educational system is the need of the hour. Instead of focusing only on theory and examinations, emphasis should be given to sports and creative activities. Present jobs require out-of-the-box thinking and high problem-solving skills. These values can be taught only when the education system is accustomed to providing an opportunity to learn these skills by bringing in a more practical approach.
